On February 12th I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of a lovely couple from Iowa.
As I was heading over to the West Side that day... the clouds were rolling in and I actually caught a huge down pour about 7 minutes away from the location - so I was a bit nervous about the weather.  When I arrived, the sun had shown long enough to capture some beautiful shots of this lovely couple and as the sunset - I was thankful to God for providing me with another wonderful session.  Wishing Mike & Debbie a lifetime of love and happiness.  I truly enjoyed working with you both.  Congratulations!

I'm sure we have all had those Mondays where we feel came way too quickly.
Yup - that's me... **Raises Hand**.
My entire family has been battling all kinds of colds and coughs and sicks
that today I'm just completely exhausted.

While last week was crazy busy -
there were a ton of positives that happened as well.
I think the positives definitely out-weigh the crazies. lol

Goals this week:
Finish editing all images from the last 2 weddings I shot.
Kick this darn sick so I can be more active this week.
Stop and Smell the Roses!

My Quote for this Week:
Too Often we forget what is important in our life...
The bills, designer clothes and bags and all the makeup in the World
Don't make me happy - My Husband and My Children Do!

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

I have been using Katie Sky's music in my videos for about a year now. I'm so thankful that I was able to get permission to have such lovely words and vocals in my videos from a beautiful Song Bird like Katie.

Today's Music Monday Song comes from Katie - it's a newly released song called: Only You.  While the title may suggest that it is a "Love Song" it is actually quite opposite.  Katie talks about how you are the person that can do anything - only you can make your heart sing.  I thought this was an awesome inspiration for this week as Monday always brings Monday Blues.

Enjoy this beautiful song and please check out Katie and the rest of her music.  Her links are below the video.

Happy Monday Lovers!

I saw this very cute ensemble on the Fashion Page on Facebook.  I absolutely fell in love in a heart beat.  I love Nudes.  This gorgeous creamy and dreamy nude style is totally up my alley.  I love the little pearl details for the earrings, rose gold accessories and of course, that gorgeous strappy peep toe platform is definitely to die for.

This is a look that I would totally wear to the office for work.   If I wanted to switch it up and go from a day to night look - I would either add a leopard print scarf instead of the scarf that is shown for a little edgy look or I would remove the sweater cardigan and add a nice brown leather jacket.  Pair this look with a gorgeous brown smokey eye and it is definitely a show stopper.  I love it!

This month's Ipsy bag arrived at a reasonable time for February.  I just didn't have the time to film the video with the reveal.  I haven't used any of the products yet as well - with exception to the Lash Card because I actually received it in my Birchbox last year.
This month's box included:

Lash Card, Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer, Pop Beauty Smoky Black Mascara, Coastal Scents Sample Quad in Glitz & Glamour and a Mica Beauty Cosmetics Gel Liner in Black.  As you all know - the bag is just $10 a month with Free Shipping.  Check out my video below for more details. :)

Sigma Beauty added a new product to their beauty line this year and it looks to be like something I would really like to try and use.  The Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove was designed to make cleaning your brushes an easier task.  For those of you who have hundreds of cosmetic brushes or are working Make-up Artists as myself - this should really help cut down your brush cleaning time by providing you different textures to get to all of that embedded dirt and grime that gets left behind each use.
The Sigma Spa™ Brush Cleaning Glove was specially designed as a quick, easy and effective method to deep clean your makeup brush collection. The revolutionary device offers a variety of necessary textures and surfaces for removing all makeup from brushes while using only a small amount of cleaning solution. The dual-sided glove provides a complete cleaning process for both eye and face brushes. Patent pending.

Brush Cleaning How-To:
1. WASH - Add a small amount of cleaning solution and water to glove and swirl brush on ‘Wash’ texture to begin deep cleaning the brush(es).
2. RINSE - Place brush under running water and sweep brush back and forth on the ‘Rinse’ texture of the glove to remove makeup residue & soap.
3. REFINE - Swirl brush on the ‘Refine’ texture of the glove for an added deep cleaning
4. RINSE - Place brush under running water & sweep brush back and forth on the ‘Rinse’ texture for a final rinse.
5. SHAPE - Reshape brush bristles by placing brush head on the ‘Shape’ section of the glove while squeezing with your hand to remove excess water.

Information in italics has been taken directly from the Sigma Beauty Site.
The Brush Cleaning Gloves come in 4 different colors: Black, Purple, Pink and Turquoise. They retail for $39.00 on the Sigma Site.  While I really do love my brush cleaner that I currently use - I would definitely love to give this glove a whirl.  Cleaning 50 or more brushes after a long day of makeup application can be tiresome and definitely put a strain on your hands, arms and body.
While I am not sure when I will be able to try this product seeing it has a very hefty price tag - I have definitely put it on my wish list for a possible future purchase.  Check out Sigma and see if this is something you can add to your makeup arsenal... I have my eyes on the Purple one. :)

I got this awesome set from a Facebook Page and I just wanted to share it with everyone.  This is completely my style... edgy, trendy and definitely classy.  This look pairs all of my favorite staples... a little addition of gold (for that classy look), a dark wash pair of jeans (because we know I loves it A LOT), a classic spaghetti strap top with a bit of plating details and of course - a classic leather jacket.  I also love the animal print shoe - a beautiful statement to any ensemble and the cute white hobo style handbag would add a little brightness to such an outfit.  This choice of outfit can be done in a number of colors... purples, yellows, reds, browns, greens - you name it - the options are endless.

This type of style can be easily transitioned into each season and you can add any type of accessories to bump up the look.  A long statement neck piece would definitely compliment this outfit well.  I'm glad I spotted this beautiful set - I'm definitely using it as inspiration and creating one for me. <3

Once again - Milani has hit a homerun with their Color Statement Lipsticks.  I have been using and loving these beautiful colors and enjoying their pigmentation as well as their creaminess.  Along with this awesome package that Milani sent me were the new Ultra Fine Liquid Eye Liners - which I am also loving.  Check out my video below where I show you the demo of an overnight Test trial and of course - the swatches on my lips.

After the video - scroll down to see swatches as well as more details for each product.
The Color Statement lipsticks retail for $5.49 on the MilaniCosmetics site.  Considering the pigmentation of each and how awesome they apply - that is definitely a great deal.  Out of all of the colors in this collection - Rose Amour and Fruit Punch are probably my favorites.  My least favorite would be Pink Frost, which reminds me of an old school lipstick color I would see my grandmother wear... but I have been able to utilize and make use of it by using it to highlight the pout part of my lip for a little extra plump look. I love that this collection has so many creams because it allows me to really mix and match the colors without sacrificing the creamy texture that I love.
The swatches above also include the new Color Statement lip liners for this collection as well.  These lip liners retail for $3.99 on Milani's website and let me tell you - they are as awesome as the ones from the Reds and Oranges collection.  I love their staying power and I absolutely love that I can use the All Natural (04) Lip liner for a wide range of lipstick colors.  It truly is a universal lip liner and perfect for any kit.
The Ultra Fine Liquid Eye Liners come in 5 different colors.  They retail on Milani's Website for $7.49.  The website states:

"Sparkling intense color, long-lasting, waterproof formula.   The ultrafine felt-tip applicator makes it easy to apply a thick or thin line and dries down to a sparkling finish. Black also available in a vinyl finish!"

I truly love these liners.  They have become my favorites very quickly.  I have watched a few reviews were others were not too keen on the applicator tip - which I definitely do understand their reasons.  I on the other hand enjoy the firmness of the applicator and the fact that it is shorter tipped than others.  Because I'm getting a bit older - I so have some wrinkles on my eyelid and the applicator really allows for a thicker precision application for me without worrying about my little wrinkles that would normally get in the way.  The colors for me are pretty pigmented, I have been using the Black Vinyl every single day since I've gotten them in the mail.  The other colors have a metallic and even glitter sheen to them.    I think that it definitely adds a great touch to the product.  It's not something I would use daily but definitely for a pop of color.

I'm definitely looking forward to trying out the rest of the colors in the Color Statement Lipstick Line as well as the lip liners. I am loving them all.

Thank you Milani for sending these awesome products.

February 11th... It was a lazy dazy type of day.  I made Ground Turkey Sloppy Joes and chilled at home with the boys after my eldest came home from school.  My extra large Hello Kitty case for my new Samsung Note 2 came in that day too... fun fun!
LOTD and a beautiful sunset on 2/12/13.  I had a Sunset Wedding to shoot that evening and I figured I would snap a quick pic of what I was using and how I looked.  Then as the sun set that day I figured I would test out my new phone.  The image of the sunset is unedited without any filters.
My custom Origami Owl Locket came in on Wednesday 2/13/13.  I'll have pics of each charm I have in it as well as a full review on the item and company in the next week or so.  Stay tuned.  My hubby and I decided that we would cook each other dinner for Valentine's Day.  My night was Wed. 2/13 so I asked him what he wanted to make and he asked for my homemade meatloaf.  I made 2 different kinds, my tomato sauce kind and my mushroom brown gravy kind.  That night - my hubby made us Strawberry, Blueberry and Granola with Vanilla Greek Yogurt Parfaits for dessert.
The boys were still not feeling well on Thursday - so all 3 of them went to the doctors.  I wasn't feeling so great either.  Here is a pic of my LOTD and of course, the delicious dinner my hubby made for Valentine's Day... Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Sauteed Mushrooms and Caramelized Onions over Sirloin steak. Yummy :D
My Ipsy Bag for February, Hautelook The Balm Order and KleanColor Femme lipstick order came in on Friday 2/15/13.
My Candy Color Lenses contacts came in too (review coming soon) and I made lettuce wraps for dinner on Friday. :)  And, my hunny bought me some yummy chocolates so I figured I would get all creative and stuff and took a pic of them with some cool Instagram Filters :D
The photo of the sky and the tiny rainbow was my drive back up my mountain heading home on Saturday 2/16/13.  I knew to expect rain... which is what we got today (Sunday). While I don't enjoy the drive - it is always beautiful where I live... Definitely God's County.
This morning (Sunday 2/17/13) my hubby made us Brunch and made some awesome homemade Malasadas (portuguese donuts).  He had to leave for work so he did all of that before heading out.  #LOVEHIM.  I also snapped a photo of one of my dad's creations the other day and shared that on instagram today :)
The week seemed really long, I had a lot to do and accomplish.  But it was another week that I got to live my life... which is definitely AWESOME.  Wishing all of you a wonderful upcoming week.

"I can't live in a World
where you don't exist!"
- Edward Cullen, Twilight Saga
We all know that I am a Twihard... it's one of those books that I picked up (years after it was released) and couldn't put it down until I finished the entire saga.  The movies had me equally addicted.  This really was one of my favorite quotes and I thought it was such a fitting quote for today since it's Sunday and I'm sitting at home with the boys while my husband is working.  I'm not feeling too great - still getting over my darn sick so I could totally use some cuddle time. :)

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday and Monday (since a majority of many are getting President's Day off).  I hope your upcoming week is awesome and wonderful.

I've been slacking a bit with my foodie tutorials and recipes.  Life just gets all of me and sometimes I don't remember.  I was on one of my favorite food websites today and came across this awesome and delectable treat so I had to share.  If you try out this awesome dessert, comment below and let me know what you think :)

I'm sure most of you have heard about the new release from Sigma Beauty... Eye Shadow Bases.  I'm a bit late with talking about it here on my blog but I haven't forgotten and those that do not know about it - now you'll have a little info on it. :)
These awesome bases (which are now available for purchase) evolved from the best selling Bare, Dare and Flare Eye Shadow Palettes.  These bases were created so that they can be used with a wide variety of colors to enhance and even transform your existing eye shadows.   They have a smooth, quick-drying formula that is easy to apply and blend.

The single (individual bases) are available in a wide range of colors and are perfect addition to your makeup collection.  You can choose from nine shades ranging in neutrals to deep hues to create a number of looks from subtle to smokey.  The will increase the longevity of your look and give you the ability to easily transform your shadows for a bolder look.  The individual bases are now available for $13 each!
The Eye Shadow Base Kits can be used to be a part of your kit as well and compliment your BareDare and Flare Eye Shadow Palettes or purchased to enhance your existing eye shadow collection. The Eye Shadow Base Kits include three bases and the F70 brush for seamless application. Rather than purchasing three bases individually for $39, a kit can be purchased for $36, and includes the complimentary application brush! Here are the colors available in each kit!
I'm definitely excited to try these bases out, or at least one of them.  It will be interesting to see how they compare to some of my favorites currently on the market. :)

Please note that I am an affiliate with Sigma Beauty and if you click on my links and make a purchase I may receive a small commission.  If you are uncomfortable with doing so or do not want to - you can also visit the website directly.  Please also note that I do not own any of these specific products from Sigma Beauty.  This is not a review but simply a Product Reveal based on information provided to me from Sigma.

I love Office Supplies, tape supplies, packing supplies... you name it, it's a favorite.  I received an awesome product compliments of Scotch Brand last year and have been attempting to do this review for about a year.

This product is completely universal.  I have been using it to open my shipments and boxes I receive on a daily basis.  It is user friendly and very easy to grip and hold.  I have carpal tunnel syndrome and haven't had difficulty using this product what so ever.
I also used this product for cutting wrapping paper for Christmas presents and as I mentioned above, I continue to use it to open up my shipment boxes that I receive on a daily basis.  I love that it is safe to use (because I would have cut myself already if it wasn't - I'm a klutz.) The blade is retractable and goes back into it's holder which makes it safe for storing in a drawer should you need to.  This unique feature will keep you from cutting your fingers or hand when reaching into its stored location.  This product is a great asset to any crafters supplies or a mommy's tool box.  What I love is the price point, it's definitely affordable costing roughly about $6.50 - $7.00 at your local office supply store.  You can also find this product on Amazon as well.
Like all Scotch/3M products, it is durable and easy to use.  Like I mentioned before - I have had it for a year and use it on a daily basis.  My blade is still sharp enough to cut through heavy cardboard and tape.  I also love that the blade is not very long, which means you are not worrying too much about it snagging on the item within the box or cutting a slit into the contents that are within that box.

All in all - I give this product:  5 Honey Stars.  It's still very affordable, easy to use, great ergonomic feel and of course, packaging is simple and to the point.  If you open as many shipments as I do - you will surely enjoy adding this product to your packaging/shipment arsenal.

Thank you 3M/Scotch for sending me this product to review. :)

FTC: I was sent this product for review and consideration.  I am in no way affiliated or was I paid to do this review.  My review is 100% honest and unbiased.

I'm still contemplating doing a Video on this topic - but it's always faster for me to type than it is to film, edit and upload - so if I decide I will film the video, I'll insert it into this post.   Most of you know that I am a mother of 3 boys.  My eldest is 9 and my twins are 3.  The last several years have definitely been interesting - but as a mother, I'm thankful that I always have my children right by my side.

I have been asked many many times from friends as well as fellow bloggers and YouTubers if it is normal to feel weird or inadequate after having children.  Many of these lovely mothers felt as if they no longer were invited to "Girlie" hang outs, parties or Girls Night Out Dates any longer because now they are married and/or with children.  While it may feel weird, uncomfortable and very uneasy sometimes, rest assured that this is truly a normal way to feel.  You will especially notice the difference if the friends you once hung out with do not have a Spouse or children.  When I first started noticing this - I was a little freaked out myself... but in all honesty - as long as my husband still wanted to spend time with me, it didn't bother me much.  I did however notice that it was happening.   It's not a bad thing at all but will definitely take some getting used to.  That's what really drew me into starting my blog and youtube videos.  It gave me the opportunity to meet new people and to make friends in a different type of setting.  It was nice to touch base with mommies out there that had the same feelings of abandonment.  And, there are a ton of us out there.
As we grow in life and go on our journeys, our life definitely does change.  While many of us still continue to be friends with our childhood buddies, we certainly become, or shall I say - Evolve... into different individuals.  Our priorities change and if you are a mother and wife you know that your life no longer revolves around what it once did when you were in High School.

A few simple tips to help you through this odd time...

1.) If you need a friend, reach out to other Mommies and Wives.  Talk with them and ask them if your experiences are the same as theirs, I trust that you will have similar  ones.  This new mommy/wife friend of yours will truly be a great person to friend.  Check out Facebook Groups, Blogger Groups and so much more and talk with some of the other mommies out there.  You will surely make a friend with a similar outlook.

2.) If you haven't started in the lovely world of blogging, try and give it a whirl.  While you are not necessarily talking with someone else, your thoughts and encouragement can reach millions and you will surely have something to keep you busy and will make new friends.

3.)  Last but not least, know that this awkward stage you may be going through is not unusual and you are not abnormal.  Often times our conversations change from: "Ooh - that dress is super hot for my date next week!" to "I need to find a changing table or a changing room for my baby!".  Life goes on and just because our Childless or unmarried friends may not understand the new "us" - it doesn't mean that they don't love us any longer... it just means our priorities in life have changed.  While Motherhood keeps us busy and we may need some "girlfriend" time - we just need to accept that sometimes our circles may change a little too.  It's okay and it's nothing to worry about.  Let your childless and husbandless girlfriends know you still love them and would love the opportunity to hang out again... because your friendship doesn't end, your life just evolves.

Wishing you a lifetime of Happy Mommy and Wifey Memories!
xoxo

I hope this helped out a little for all of you lovelies.  I am in no way a Doctor or professional and this information provided is due to my own experiences.  I am not liable for any information taken out of context.

I absolutely love this set.  It's simple, but still girlie with a little bit of flirty flare.  This would be the perfect set for Spring and Summer months.  I love that Denim can tone down a sun dress or romper and give any look a little dressed down feel without going too casual.  Of course, I had to add a Michael Korrs Grayson Bowler because it is such a universal piece.   Megan Fox is rocking a sweet but still sexy makeup look that she wore for the Golden Globes and I thought this would pair nicely with such a "Girl Next Door" kind of look.  To find out where you can get some of these awesome fashion finds... check out my Style Set: http://www.polyvore.com/spring_fling/set?id=72520598

If you've been following my blogs for a while, you may remember that I would post Polyvore Style boards every Friday.  However, about 6 months ago, I realized that I could no longer log into my account and lost all of my boards and sets :(  While it seemed like it was a lost of password, I am truly not sure what may have happened... so I'm starting over again.  My Friday Style Inspirations were always something I enjoyed doing and so I figured I would reopen another account and get started on it again.  This was my first Set I worked on tonight.  If you know anything about me... you know that I love Cream colored things and I especially love it paired with gold and denim.

The collection is also available on Milanicosmetics.com Each polish is just $4.99 which is not only affordable but gives you many options.  There are 6 colors to chose from and what I love most is that it is made in the USA.  The colors they have on the line are absolutely gorgeous and I love that they are not offering bright bold colors but that they do have a textured finish.  Check out your local stores I mentioned above and get your set when it is released, or visit: www.milanicosmetics.com and stock up before Spring arrives.

I love reading the articles on sites like Lucky, Beautylish and Total Beauty.  Today I opened my email box to see an article about Mascaras that are currently on the market that may indeed be better than falsies.  Now - you know this absolutely caught my attention because we all know I have some of the smallest lashes known to man. lol

Well, Associate Editor Emily Popp from Total Beauty says she loves this mascara.  The curved wand helps to curl her lashes and it gives her great length.  Hmmm... I guess I am on the hunt for this baby.  I smell another Mascara Chronicles coming on.  If you have tried this mascara - be sure to comment and let me know.  I will be on the search for it in my local drug stores and will put it to the Honey's Mascara Chronicles Test.
Now this mascara - the Maybelline Rocket Volum I have seen on a post of a fellow friend, Tabitha.  She says she absolutely loves it.

Editorial Assistant Tiffanie Petett from Total Beauty says that it is the best waterproof mascara she's tried.  It's still easy to take off but yet it doesn't budge during the day and she didn't have to deal with the transferred residue on her top lid.

I love Waterproof mascaras because they usually keep my curl at bay and in tact.  I will be hunting for this mascara as well and adding it to my Mascara chronicles. :)
See what mascaras made the list for Total Beauty and definitely let me know if you have tried any of them and what you think of them.  I have used Lancome Hynose before - which I really truly loved... but with that price tag - I figured I would give these drug store brands a whirl and see how they compared to what I am currently using.  I'm especially excited to find the NYC mascara.  I have yet to have even seen it anywhere until reading this article so I am definitely on the hunt.  Stay tuned for a Lash / Mascara Chronicles Series coming soon :)

Tuesday 2/11/13 is Pancake Day...  yay.  What kind of Pancake are you going to be munching on this lovely day?

Before I hit the hay (since it has just turned 12:10am here in Hawaii) I am going to leave you all with a little bit of Inspiration.  Wishing you all a wonderful Tuesday <3

Everyone knows that I am a sucker for a Chocolate Covered Strawberry and this time was no exception.  I want to thank Shari's Berries for working with me these awesome sweet delights - I have truly enjoyed them.

As I mentioned in the video - Shari's Berries website offers a wide range of Treats... from Cake Pops, Chocolate Covered Oreos and other cookies, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, Chocolate Roses and so so much more.  My hubby and I spent a little while on the site making a list for what we are going to order and if I know my man... he's already began ordering me a sweet delectable delight from the site. :D

Check out my video review below as I walk you through the awesomeness and then scroll to the bottom of this post to see photos of how the Treats arrived.
This box was made to stop traffic.  Packed well and beautifully, I was so excited to see the giant strawberry logo on the front when the package arrived.
This is just the "outer shell" and it was definitely made with attention to detail with it's cute little verbiage... "Once opened, contents may disappear immediately!" and it certainly did. :)
Within the outside box was a bunch of insulation which helped to keep my berries fresh and cold.  The berries arrived in tact without melting.  The ice pack they sent was melted but it did its purpose in keeping my berries awesome on its journey.
They came packaged in their Signature box with a beautiful bow on it (which I love).  It's simple but still elegant and definitely a treat you would love to receive.
Each berry was selected for perfection and the decorations was also no exception.
I definitely recommend Shari's Berries to ANYONE.  As I mentioned before they have a wide range of sweet treats to melt any heart.  They use the finest chocolates (which you can definitely taste when biting into this delectable delight).  Order yours today to get it to your Sweet heart by Valentine's Day.

I found this Style Board in my Instagram Feed yesterday and reposted it.  I'm not sure of where you can get any of the items listed and frankly I'm sure that we can easily find the pieces in this board at any boutique - or at least complete an inspired look.

As many of you know - I'm a jeans girl... I love denim but I love wearing it even more.  It's one of those important fashion items you need to have in your closet - it's a staple that is required, especially if you are plus-sized girl like I am.  Find the right cut of jeans and you are good to go.  I especially love jeans because it is easily dressed up or down depending on what it is paired with.  This gorgeous pair of skinny jeans (dark wash - which for me is preferable), is paired with a gorgeous sparkly top and off white / cream colored blazer.  If anything says business woman - it's a blazer... so use that as a staple to pop over a casual outfit and you're good to go.  Pair that with a sparkly gold top and you are ready to stop traffic.  And, of course - the minty colored platforms are certainly a great addition that I love.  The color combo is certainly a classy way to dress and in my opinion a great way to kick up your wardrobe this Spring without looking like an Easter Egg threw up on you with all the bright pastels.
