I haven't been doing much shopping lately.  I don't think I bought much of anything since April.  I just haven't been in the mood and have been doing my best to use up all the goodies I already have in my collections.  I must admit, I have been pretty bad to sticking to my Makeout 2013 and failed tremendously, I'm sure... but at least my spending on Beauty items had decreased dramatically.   So here are a few things I picked up collectively ove the last month.  It's not a big collective haul and everything I purchased, for the most part, was pretty affordable.  The embedded video is below. :)

If you have been following me for the last few years - you know that EOS Lip Balm Spheres are Holy Grail for me.  My favorite being the Passion Fruit (or as we call it in Hawai'i - Liliko'i).   I almost fell out of my seat when I received the email from EOS this morning on the new Limited Edition Basket of Fruit Collection.

This beautiful collection includes...
"Four delightful, all-natural lip balms packed with shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamin E for super-soft lips."
Now available at Target, this collection includes the flavors:  Summer Fruit, Pomegranate Raspberry, Strawberry Sorbet and Limited Edition Fresh Watermelon.  Let me just say - I will be on the hunt for this awesome collection.  Unfortunately - I do not have a target near me... so I am in hopes of finding it elsewhere.

I have checked and it is not available online - but you can expect to pay about $10.99 for the collection.  Keep your eye out for it!

In all honesty, I had read a wide range of positive and negative reviews on these Covergirl Smoochable Balms (Smoochies), just as I did with the Maybelline Baby Lips... but I figured I would give it a try after finally seeing them at my local Walmart today.  I grabbed a berry looking color (didn't even look at the name), it's pictured below - the first on the left.  It looked really nice and I was excited to try it - but Walmart did not have the price displayed.

So we found a price scanner and I scanned it (I filmed it on today's vlog) and boy was I bummed.  This thing was over $5.00.  Seriously - that was a big "HELL NO!"

So I figured I would share anyway.  The color ranges look nice, though many look very similar to one another.  I would love to try the red one - but at that price, I don't know that I want to fork out the change.  If I can't find it on sale or coupon, I'll surely give it a whirl.
On a side note... Walmart's display today was to say the least - not very eye appealing... but what is new? lol

YES - I am a makeup addict and my name is Honey.  I was out and about at Walgreens today in hopes that I would find a limited edition something from any of the Cosmetic lines while browsing.  There are a few that I was interested in and a few that I just passed by.  I caught this one in the corner of my eye and had to stop to check it out.  I had only heard about them, but just recently found it.  Basically it is the Wet n Wild Limited Edition Color icon and Megawear PARTY ON THE ROOF collections.

Some include a nail polish, lipstick and gloss while the other set includes a 6 pan palette (I believe the marbelized shadows are baked) and a mascara.  I do have similar eye shadow colors in other palettes, so I by passed those and I know I have some of the lipsticks and polishes.  I do not think these are actual items that are limited edition, but just in a set that is.

Each set is just $4.99 - which is a steal no matter how you look at it.  Definitely a great way to try out a few products if you are interested.  I haven't tried the mascara yet, but the other products I have tried in other colors or the same and do really like them.  Check out your local Walgreens and see if you can find them to try out yourself.

Inspired by the beautiful Taliajoy18 - I chose the colors for this look because it reminds me of the beautiful oceans here in Hawaii and when I need peace and comfort, I try to focus my mind on the beautiful beaches I grew up swimming and lounging at and my heart feels so much better.  It's a refreshing, healing and rejuvenation for me and my goal was to put those thoughts in beautiful Talia's mind.

I absolutely LOVE Perfume.  I have my favorites but regardless, I do use perfume on a daily basis.   Here are the ones currently in my collection.  Unless it is a limited edition, a lot of my scents get repurchased often or I switch them out with other scents I have sampled and loved.  I LOVE perfume samples and always get a ton from Sephora since I'm such an avid shopper.   This also allows me to try out new scents and decide if I would spend the money on them.

Some of my all time favorite perfumes include:  Lavanilla Pure Vanilla, Coach Love, Love Sweet Love from Philosophy, Justin Beiber's Girlfriend, Halloween, DKNY Pure, Pacifica Island Vanilla, Mariah Carey's Lollipop Bling, Taylor Swifts Wonderstruck and Marc Jacobs Daisy.  While some of these I only have in sample, I will be picking up the full sized ones soon.

Hope you guys enjoyed my collection, I will try to input notes or details as I have time.

A few days ago, I received an email from Sephora previewing the newest edition to the Marc Jacob's Perfume line...  Honey!  As if the packaging of this bottle didn't grab my attention and absolutely have me drooling over the email, but the name itself definitely has me crossing my fingers that I'll be able to get my hands on this beauty.

If you have been following the Marc Jacob's line, you will immediately recognize the similarities.  Honey Marc Jacobs is the sister to Dot, but it boasts a very different different bunch of notes.

Honey Marc Jacobs is one that I know I will surely love... with one of my favorite notes of Vanilla, it is a must have for me year round.  Let's face it - it's named Honey so it must be just as sweet.  ;)

Top:  Pear, Fruity Punch, Juicy Mandarin
Heart:  Orange blossom, Peach Nectar, Honeysuckle
Base:  Honey, Golden Vanilla, Smooth Woods

Starting July 7th - Honey Marc Jacobs fragrance will be available in Sephora stores nationwide and is available at Sephora.com right now.  1 oz Eau de Parfum Spray ($52.00), 1.7 oz Eau de Parfume Spray ($72.00) and 3.4 oz Eau de Parfum Spray ($92.00) are available for your choice of sizes.

I don't know about you guys... but I am super duper excited to get my hands on this perfume.   If you get it - please let me know, I would love to know your thoughts on the the product.

I wanted to use last year's 4th of July inspired look as my inspiration this year.  While I wanted to go bold, I also wanted it to be sultry and sexy.  I originally filmed a tutorial for the look, but had worried that it would take me too long to edit it and get it up in time for 4th of July - seeing as I just did this look on the 2nd.  If I have time, maybe I'll upload it - because the actual eye look itself would work any time of year. ;)  Products used listed below.
Primer:  Mira Bella Eye Shadow Primer
Base:  Maybelline Color Tattoo in Blue on By
Shadows:
  • Blue (lid), White (inner tear duct highlight), Grey (crease & transition color), Cream (highlight - was meant to be a subtle highlight) and Red (lower lash line) from BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette
  • MAC's Deep Truth eye shadow (deep/dark blue in crease and outer v)
Liners:
  • Mica Beauty Cosmetics black gel liner (upper lash line to wing out my liner)
  • Mally Evercolor Sparkle liner in Black (tightline)
  • L'Oreal HIP Silver/Chrome Eyeliner (used to apply the silver lines in the stripes on my cheek)
  • Starlooks Pencil liner in White (waterline to brighten and make my eyes appear wider and open)
Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Hypercolor Lash/Brow Tint in Electric Blue
Star and Stripes Decoration:  NYX Jumbo ESP in White - (used to draw the white lines in the decor), Mally Evercolor Sparkle liner in Black (used to draw the star), Blue and Red - BH Party girl Palette
Lashes:  Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara, L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara and True or False Marilyn Monroe Lashes
Lips:  Starlooks Roseate Lipstick blended with Revlon's Soft Nude Lipstick
Hope you guys like this 4th of July inspired look.  I had a lot of fun creating it and I may just do a crazy look for the actual day. ;)  Have a wonderful 4th of July lovers.

Yes... I screen captured this from Milani's Instagram.  Let's face it... I have been sitting on this for 3 days and just couldn't resist posting it.  I am so SOOOOOOOOOOO.... EXCITED.  For one, if anyone knows me... I am one of the biggest Milani Fans... add blush and roses and I am in heaven.

These awesome blushes (that Milani Sneak peaked a few days ago) will be coming to select CVS, Walgreens, Meijer and Fred Meyer stores in August.  First off... my local CVS and Walgreens NEVER gets the limited edition products, so I'm a little sad that I may not get my hands on these awesome products.  I want EVERY SINGLE COLOR.

Be sure to check out Milani on Instagram or Facebook for updates.  And, if you spot these at your local stores next month... get them while you can... I'll be totally jealous! lol

I am absolutely in love with this nail lacquer and I'm so glad that I decided to get it.  It is from an awesome Indie Nail Polish company called Polish Addict.  This awesome nail polish is one of two that I picked up a couple of weeks ago.    It retails on the site for $9.00 and I absolutely love it!

I painted my nails last night, but had to wait till lighting was ideal to take my photos.  I love the formulation... it has that almost "jelly" texture that I like and when used in combination with my Sinful colors Over the Top, top coat and Sally Hansen Dry Kwik, it dried fairly quickly and I walked away without any dents.

There is one notation I would like to make.  I'm not sure if it is because of the formulation - but the smell of the polish lingered through the night and still happens to be very strong today.  I have washed my hands numerous times and have also washed dishes several times as well... so I think it might just be the lacquer products used.  Regardless... I haven't had any chipping yet - which other indie company polishes have done on me in the past.  I am really loving this polish - it will be a favorite of mine for years to come.
A formal review will be done on my YouTube channel and blog in the future.  Stay tuned!
xoxo
